Speaker Dr Shane Colgan, Manager of Resource Efficiency - Ireland's Environmental Protection Agency
Dr Shane Colgan is Manager of Resource Efficiency at Ireland's Environmental Protection Agency. A major part of his role concerns running Ireland's National Waste Prevention Programme. Within the programme, he has been working for a number of years with hospitals and other care facilities (e.g. nursing homes) to assist them in becoming more 'resource efficient'. This means looking to reduce water use, energy use, food wastage, and healthcare risk waste generated.
