Presentation: Developing climate managers in hospitals 

Speaker Annegret Dickhoff, Project Manager - BUND Berlin e.V. (Friends of the Earth Germany)

Annegret Dickhoff works in the field of climate protection in hospitals. She is an environmental engineer (since 1997), holds a degree as a trainer for adult education (2002) and a nursing degree (1988). She is active in several working groups e.g. the association of German engineers which are focussed on the subject climate protection in the healthcare sector. Her motivation is to enable hospitals managers and staff, politicians, and other actors to run hospitals with minimum pollution and energy consumption.

Speaker Dinis Rodrigues, Director of Eco.AP Department - ADENE

Engineer with 12 years of experience in energy efficiency, he was involved in the development and implementation of ECo.AP program; Portuguese representative in Coordinated Action of Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU) in articles related with public sector. A trainer, certified by Energy Valuation Organisation, to hold training courses for Certified Measurement and Verification Professionals.

Speaker Chris Large, Senior Partner - Global Action Plan

Chris Large has been leading environmental change programmes since 2005, finding novel ways to encourage people to change their habits to reduce their impact on the environment. He has helped the UK Houses of Parliament environment team to increase the knowledge of its occupants on how to limit the emissions from Parliament's buildings, reduced the impact of dozens of corporate offices and led our health programmes since 2012. Chris Large led the creation of Operation TLC, and oversee the implementation of this approach in several hospitals, saving £0.5m worth of energy and improving the environment for patients. He also designed and kick-started the Barts Health Cleaner Air Programme to address air pollution in east London, in collaboration with the Greater London Authority and four London boroughs.
